I live and work in Essen, Germany.
At first I studied at the academy of Stuttgart, later in Düsseldorf in the class for sculpture with Prof. Joseph Beuys and Prof. Erwin Heerich.
After the second state exam I worked as an art teacher in a grammer school in Essen until 2004.
Since 2003 I am a member of the group of artists of Fine Arts (WBK).

A visitor once said, when he saw my sculptures he felt like Gulliver in the country of Liliput. Most of my figures are about thirty centimeters high. The base guards the original form of the woodden block. Some people communicate with my figures, the kind of subject is inviting you: I formed outstanding persons or ordinary ones and those of theatre life.
Working on the wood its character and the choice of the topic are important. Naked skin is looking more delicate in limewood, creased materialty corresponds with cedar. Colour helps to set accents.
